In my “Nvidia bets big on its customers” dispatch from July 27, I erroneously described Ilya Sutskever as one of the three “godfathers of AI.” That title is commonly accepted to refer to Geoffrey Hinton, Yann LeCun, and Yoshua Bengio.
Sutskever, with Hinton, was one of the co-creators of AlexNet, which helped kick off the modern AI paradigm. This is probably where I got my wires crossed.
